In conjunction with Launceston College and directed by Angela Driver, Streets Alive will produce the theatre in education play x-stacy by Margery Forde in a local Launceston nightclub.

x-stacy is a powerful play that zeroes in on the rave culture and asks tough questions about family, friends and mutual responsibilities. It is a fast and contemporary journey into the emotional world of our younger generation. The play revolves around a small circle of friends: Ben, his younger sister Stacy, his mother Anne, established DJ Fergus and wannabe DJ Zoe. Anne seeks her ecstasy through the church, Ben in the power of the music, but Stacy wants to experience the rave scene and drop her first ecstasy tablet. When Stacy dies, each character tries to deal with the death, but many questions remain unanswered and many wounds left unhealed.
