Treasure Hunts
Hands-on Arts Media
Venue: please refer to Booking Form
Date: Mon 3 - Fri 7 April
Cost: $2.50 per student
This workshop program is designed for primary school students and will be devised with teachers and artists to present an incredible selection of arts activities. Using Prince's Square as the heart of this program, primary aged children will be given the hands-on experience of making and viewing a variety of vibrant and engaging arts media. There will be a series of 45 min workshops in venues throughout the CBD which may include a dance class, beat boxing, cartooning, visual arts and theatre, with each class taking part in three. An original, high energy pantomime will be provided for the lunch period, devised by local writer, musician and actor Travis Hennessy, featuring our unique animals as the main characters.
For the duration of the Treasure hunt program, Prince's Square itself will be transformed into an exciting, artistic environment by the creation and installation of works of art from your school. Upon booking for the Treasure Hunts, we'll let you know what materials and creations you can bring to make the park a bright and bold place for the week. These creations may be constructed using packaging from Betta Milk.
