Streets Alive works closely with young people and the Education Department to formulate the program for each festival.
As part of this consultation, two executives are formed as advisors, sounding boards and trouble-shooters - the Teachers Executive and the Youth Executive. Both bodies run from mid-February to the conclusion of the festival and meet weekly at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery at Inveresk.
